This week we were going out of town, so I went to the morning speed/hills workout with runners edge of the rockies rather than the evening. They start at 5:30 am, so it meant an early morning. But I was glad I went.
While getting the workout in first thing is a great bonus, the better bonus is that the sun is was not pounding on us.

I was concerned about tonight workout. For starters, it was HOT! really, really, HOT!. My day started with Masters Swim, then a very intense (and HOT) Yoga session. Tonights speed workout was a reminder that I have been focusing a lot more on endurance running, rather than speed work.
I feel that is OK. I have a great base and my legs are feeling strong. Now I plan on maintaining my endurance (and building upon it) while increasing my turnover and of course, speed. Read the rest of this entry »
I am not sure if I can count this as a “training run” or not. The way I see it, is that when I run with my dogs it is a much tougher workout.

Well, actually a recovery from a couple days off of training. I was in Dallas for a couple days for business. Dan Thies put on a 2 day workshop for all us eCommerce folks.
