Just to be clear, I am not saying there is anything wrong with peeing in your wetsuit. I have just never done it nor have any desire to do it.

My thoughts are this:

1) Wetsuits keep you warm by holding the cold water against your body and not letting it back out. Hence, your body warms the water and now you are surrounded by warm water.
My thoughts: If I pee in my wetsuit, now I have my warm pee all over my body and I will be kept warm by my pee. Good from a temperature standpoint, bad from an "itchy, yucky" standpoint.

2) The swim is the shortest leg of the triathlon
My Thoughts: In a sprint, I might be out of the water in 9 minutes. If I can't hold it 9 minutes I have bigger issues.

In an Ironman I will be out of the water in an hour and 10 to 20 minutes. If I can't hold it for an hour, is it worth the body itch for the rest of the day? Didn't I just pee in the porta-potty before the race anyway??

I know if I want to qualify for Kona, or get on the podium that one day i will have to pee in my wetsuit:pee on the bike:pee while running. But right now, my triathlon is simply swim:bike:run, without the pee. And I got to say, I like it that way.
