Morning Hills

This week we were going out of town, so I went to the morning speed/hills workout with runners edge of the rockies rather than the evening. They start at 5:30 am, so it meant an early morning. But I was glad I went.

While getting the workout in first thing is a great bonus, the better bonus is that the sun is was not pounding on us.

This week wall ALL HILLS! our normal warm up with plyometrics, lunges, stretches, etc…

Then we did 5 repeats up a large, steep, grassy hill. Followed by 6 repeats up a larger, rolling, just as steep, but longer hill on pavement.

Followed by a cool down.

In all we ran about 8 miles, and it was intense! I couldn’t stop thinking about all my friends who were planning on doing the evening workout, under the sun.
