Todays training run started at 6:00 am. Although it was Buffalo Bill Day in Golden Colorado, where the run started, so we ended up starting a little late to allow everyone to find parking and arrive.

The weather was nice as there was a light cloud cover. Much of the run was also shaded, a rarity in our neck of the woods.

The terrain varied from concrete bike paths to dirt trail. The scenery was beautiful and company was great.

I ran 18 miles and then walked down to the river and sat in. It was awesome! Better than an ice bath, fresh running, ice cold, river water. It was a beautiful thing.

The best part is my Garmin says I burned 2443 calories, that tells me I can enjoy dinner tonight!
