I must have slept on my shoulder a little funny because it is extremely tight today. Well, not overly tight, I can move it around just fine but it certainly hurts more than normal. So when my wife told me we were going to yoga at 9:00am this morning, my first thought was not all that positive. But then I figured, what better way to loosen it up than yoga?

Today was a level 2 class at CorePowerYoga with one of our favorite instructors. And for some reason, I think she was focusing heavily on hip openers and chest openers. The first couple poses were, well let’s just say “less than comfortable”. I stayed with my breath and before I knew it my body was in the yoga zone and everything felt great.

My shoulder felt a whole lot better upon leaving class. It’s a couple hours later now and it is a little tight again, but nothing like this morning. Yoga is just so good on so many levels which I am learning more about each and every day.

Tomorrow morning is swim, so i’ll just have to make sure it feels better by then…
